Wings Programs is happy to announce that we’ve received a $6850 grant from the Dover’s Chair organization to establish a Healthy Equine Fund. This fund is to help with dental care, hoof care, medications and supplements for our rescues. These are areas that often have been neglected when horses, mules, and donkeys are relinquished to Wings and become rescues. This grant covers 25% of our yearly expenses for this care.
With this grant as the basis for the Healthy Equine Fund, we will be able to ask for matching grants and donations to cover an entire year of this type of care. J.J. (below left) and Sapphire (below right) are just two examples of rescues who were badly in need of basic care and have regained their health.
